I love this product for making yogurt at home. Always a good batch.

Worked great for me and just yesterday, I used a small amt of the yogurt from the first batch for a starter for the next batch. I read on their website that this starter can’t be used for the cold start method using ultra pasteurized milk in an instant pot but has to use the boil method. For the reviewers who these cultures didn’t work, I wonder if they were trying the cold start method. I use skim milk and strain the yogurt for a Greek yogurt. Sometimes I add some monk fruit sweetner & vanilla at the beginning of the process. This is my 2nd time buying this product and I’ve never had a batch fail.

If you like very bitter homemade yogurt then this is for you. I found these starter yogurt packets "sourful." My advice: simply use a spoon or two of plain yogurt that you like the most for the starter for each of the jars of homemade yogurt you are making. This is an item I wish I could promptly return for a refund, in that, I one used one packet. Overall, if you like more acidic tasting yogurt this may be for you.

Although in principle sufficient to create one quart of yogurt, I use it to create 6 cups, which requires about 12 hours of incubation. I use 3 packets of powdered milk, where each packet is typically used to reconstitute 1 quart of milk. The resulting yogurt is thick and creamy.

Used with high quality Fairlife milk. Made excellent yogurt.
