Dyson V8 Absolute Cord-Free Vacuum Cleaner, Grey

ULTRA LONG REVIEW WITH LONG TERM UPDATES(so kindly bear with me)After multiple months I decided to buy a corded vacuum cleaner, I had purchased the Philips Corded Bagless Vacuum, upon arrival I noticed that the vacuum was extremely heavy even thou it was very well built, however teh suction was also very high and for basic tasks such as dusting and all is very very heavy, the main problem arises is that you shall get tired after 10 min of operation of the machine, also to operate it one needs to take out the entire machine connect it to a cord attach the heavy attachments, its such a chore so I realised all these negatives of the machine and decided to return it, am happy that amazon has an amazing return policy even thou I had used the product, thanks amazon......Now coming to the v8, even thou it was expensive I realised that this machine shall be used much more since its a cord free machine, I was skeptical that since its a cord free machine the suction would not be great, but I was so wrong about it, even on the lowest setting it has enough suction for day to day use, the machine is extremely light weight and its very easy to clean tight spots, since its a rechargeable battery I was afraid that it would not last much, however after speaking to the dyson customer care they said that its rated to last 10+ years since its not a fast charger and they take time to charge such a battery which shall help in the life of the battery,one more positive news that dyson are planning is amc which they plan to launch very soon, that gives peace of mind.Performance of the machines is superb, the amount of dust that this machine collects is unbelievable, I never knew how much dust is lying around the house, the attachments provided on the absolute plus model is superb all kind of tools are there for all needs, I don't think any other tool is further required for it, I think the only tool that is missing was the hard brush tool don't know why dyson does not even offer since it shall be really helpful to clean the car carpet.I'm lost for words for this amazing machine me being from Delhi where I dust pollution levels are extremely high this thing is a must have, however the cost is just a bit high and unaffordable for most Indian homes...... I think we can all buy phones worth 20/30k but shall always think multiples times spending something for health...... Lets hope my review is helpful for people planning to take the plunge....Shall keep on updating this review over time.....Update 1The cannister becomes frosty after couple of uses, however it does not impact in operation of the machine apart from the aesthetic side of it..... Regular cleaning shall be required of all the attachments since it gets dirty very fast due to dusty conditions in Delhi region....Update 2 - after 2 months usageWell I had a problem with the soft roller which shall be used mostly in Indian conditions since most of us have marble/tile flooring, so its the tool that I use the most often, however the tool started to make some noise for which i raised a complaint to dyson, the company is extremely professional in solving the problem, they asked me to make a small video and send it to them, after that they called me and sent their engineer & replaced the tool head no questions asked, this kind of service is unheard in India, I'm extremely happy about the customer experience, however what I worry about is the reliability of the tools etc, since warranty is of 2 years & i really hope dyson comes out with AMC facility since the product seems a bit delicate for daily usage......shall update more after 2 more months of usageUpdate 3: after 1 yearAfter lockdown due to the virus I've really started to use this machine to it's full potential, and I must say this machine is absolute worth the price that I had paid, I cleaned the entire house of roughly 2500sqft without my battery depleting completely, thou I used the machine in normal mode and not in full power, in some instances full power is required but certainly not always.....Basically two attachments are mainly used most of the time.....Update 4: after 1year 6 monthsSo finally have been using the machine to its max ability since post lockdown, one problem which started arising was that the heat was generating too much from the machine, for which i assumed that there was some problem with the filters etc, hence cleaned them and still there was extreme heat coming from the machine, upon further inspection of the machine I could see a crack starting to come below the trigger button.I immediately called Dyson service & informed them about this issue, to my utter SHOCK they collected the machine and returned it in less than 24hrs & changed the entire housing with a BRAND NEW housing, I'm simply lost for words about its amazing amazing service quality. This would be my FINAL update since I dont think I have any more input to give about this company, just one request that I would have with dyson was to release an AMC pack since the machines are very expensive & would want to protect it for a long time.

I already have 2 vacuum cleaners. They are all corded. None of those vacuum cleaners served my purpose. But Dyson V8 Absolute plus is a wonder and is cord-free. It is light in weight weighing less than 2.5 kg There is a provision to hang some add-on attachments in the charging station (see second photo), so that they won't go missing. Rest of the attachments can be put inside a storage bag provided.Dyson is the most trusted cordless vacuum cleaner worldwide. They have good service facility in India. This is a great machine. My wife was never convenient with my old vacuum cleaners. She never used them at all. I used them occasionally just because I have bought them. Since Dyson Vacuum Cleaner is cordless my wife feels this very comfortable to use. Service engineer Kamal Raj was also very friendly and informative. He spent approximately 2 hours to give the demo and enlighten me on all my doubts. The vacuum cleaner was installed in Chennai today without any delay after my purchase. I just tried the left two sofa seats which has fabric upholstery shown in the photo. You can see how bright they are. The vacuum cleaner sucked out all the dust in a single pass. I am still to vacuum the other seats and hence they look very shabby. The motorized spongy roller cleans my tiled hard floor very well. There are 10 attachments provided for variety of purposes viz. one motorized roller for hard floor, one motorized roller for carpet, one motorized roller for fabric sofa seats (soft), one non motorized attachment for leather upholstery (hard), one soft brush, one hard brush, one crevice tool, and some more flexible attachments. This machine does cleaning of all household chores. This is a dry vacuum and should not not be used in wet area. The vacuum cleaner can also be made a handy device for cleaning sofa, bed, car seats, furniture etc. It is made of unbreakable ABS Plastics. All attachments are quick fix and release type.I think Dyson has put several decades of brain power to arrive at such a wonderful patented designs. I hope the service will also be equally good from Dyson. It seems the machine may run for 40 minutes in normal mode in one full 4 to 5 hours charge. In overall I feel very happy for purchasing this. I have to wait and and see how it performs in the long run. They provide 2 years warranty also in India. I am confident Dyson won't disappoint me. I am an Amazon fan.
