Great toy!
Smart, Simple, and Keeps My Cats MovingThis door-hanging automatic cat toy has been a big hit in my home. It was easy to set up, attaches securely to the top of a door, and starts entertaining right away. The retractable string feature makes the mouse bounce and dart in unpredictable ways, which keeps both of my cats fully engaged and jumping. The USB rechargeable battery is a huge plus. It runs for multiple play sessions on a single charge, so Iโm not constantly recharging or replacing batteries. The included catnip mice are a nice touch, and the toy switches out easily for variety. If youโre looking for a hands-free way to help your cat stay active, this is an excellent choice. Great value and highly effective for daily play!

Great toy for my finicky cat
My cat rarely likes toys I buy for her so most are given to my daughter for her cats. Baby loves this one. Even when it has stopped running I find her pulling on it. They give you extra mice which is good as she has managed to get the mouse off at times. I highly recommend this toy. It is easy to charge and lasts a long time.

One of the Kittens Plays Until They BOTH Run Out of Batteries
I had low expectations but high hopes for this and was pleasantly surprised. My kittens and cat love it - one will play nonstop until their (both his and the toy's) batteries run out.Good to know:- It is a little cumbersome and inelegant to attach toys to - they expect you to literally just tie them on. My husband secured a fastener with a clip that allows for quicker change-outs to give them variety.- It takes a surprising amount of time to charge for what it is and how much runtime you get. It does have a decent runtime of 90 minutes, but it takes hours to charge to get to that point.- We have thick door frames (weird) because our house is old, and it took the tension holder to max capacity to get it onto our door frame! If you have more modern doors, you'll be fine. Our house was built in the 1920s - if yours was, or is older, that may be a flaw or odd thing you run into.- It isn't loud, but it is noticeable. I set it up on a door frame adjacent to my office to occupy them while I was working - it was fine, but I wouldn't want it to be on while I was on a call unless I closed my door.I really like:- That it varies its movements to maintain the cats' engagement.- That it doesn't just violently whip around too quickly so they get smacked with whatever is attached to it - that is a big flaw with a lot of automated toys.- It's pretty darn durable! One of them was hanging from the toy and it didn't break the cord or harm the motor.- It ended up being a great value for the cost to help with their enrichment and healthy energy expenditure, especially on long workdays!

I love this thing??
I have two cats -- one (3F) who's ~11 lbs and loves ribbons and her son (2F) who's ~20 lbs and loves wand toys. My boy will carry his iron man wand toy over to me, drop it at my feet, and meow at me multiple times a day because he always wants to play, but when both I and my roommate are working on our dissertations, we don't always have time to drop things and play. Enter this toy. We'd had a non-mechanized door toy that was basically a mouse on a string that hooked onto the top of a door, but my boy broke it within an hour of unboxing it. We had to jury-rig it so he could still play with it, but eventually it became too broken to use. Having a gigantic baby cat is not super easy because he has lots of youthful energy but also doesn't realize how big and strong he is. I got this toy honestly assuming he'd break it in a day, but it's been two weeks and it's still going. Both of the cats love this toy so much. Baby was a little scared at first because of the noise, but once mama cat went to check it out and started playing, he was all in. I turn it on, and they both come running. My ~20 lbs baby boy will grab the mouse with his teeth and back away, dragging it as far as he can, and the grip doesn't budge. We don't even have it on a door frame right now -- just the bit of the kitchen counter that juts out into the living room.Overall, 4.5/5 stars, but I'm rounding upPROS- stays where you put it. Even with a ~20 lbs cat pulling on the cord at full strength, it doesn't budge. However, it's still easy for humans to move around- entertains BOTH of my cats, even with their different toy preferencesCONS- charger is a little finicky. I can't use my phone charger (also USB-C) but the charging cord we keep plugged in for their laser toy works just fine- THREADING IT IS SO ANNOYING OMG. I've done it once (incorrectly) and again (correctly) and if I never have to do it again, it'll be too soon. The C-hole is very tiny, and it's very difficult to get the end of the cord through it in such a cramped space.- the cord can get tangled pretty easily. It gets wrapped around itself and knotted up on the spool so it won't really work, and sometimes it'll catch itself on basically any item that's somewhere near it (shelf, chair, etc.)

Good Toy, With Improvements Needed
Great toy with a few needed improvements-As others have stated my active cats chewed through the 2 thin strings that come with the toy within the first few days. The toy comes with one already strung on it, plus one extra. I had to buy thin paracord for about $9 and restring it so they can't bite through.I also wish that it had different modes-right now it bounces, jerks and moves up and down but it's either simply on or off, and a little erratic. If your cat is timid, this might scare them. Also wish it didn't have to be manually turned on and off, would be nice if it started up when the cat touches it.Overall though, a good toy.
