Great for Classroom Use!
These magnet dots work perfectly for hanging materials on my whiteboard in the classroom. They’re small but surprisingly strong. I’ve bought them multiple times now and will continue to repurchase as needed. Highly recommend for any teacher or anyone needing a reliable whiteboard magnets!

Another use for these wonderful magnet dots
I discovered that I could use two of these magnets in a way not described or even thought of by other users or by its manufacturer. I wanted to use them to attach a piece of regular notepad paper to a non-magnetic wall. (See attached image.)The known uses:All the advertised uses were for adhering a magnet to a non-magnetic surface and then attaching a light-weight tool to the magnetic surface of the magnet. I also saw that another use described was to stick a sheet of paper (with the magnet on top of the paper) to a metal surface, like a refrigerator or file cabinet. My alternative use:UPDATE (3-12-24):Although what I have said earlier works OK, I recently discovered that you could do without punching the holes in the paper, IF you reverse the direction of the second magnet, so that its adhesive side is facing towards you, away from the wall or mounting surface. I know this is counterintuitive, since this causes the two magnets to repel each other instead of attracting each other. However, this repulsion occurs only if you try to center the magnets exactly on top of each other. If you allow them to shift relative positions off-center, the magnetic attraction is even stronger than with the original orientation! In this reversed orientation, a sheet of paper is held quite securely, even without the holes in the paper.Another benefit from using the newer reversed direction for the magnets is that it enables the stacking of more than two magnets, and more sheets of paper. So, you could, in effect, mount little booklets on non-magnetic surfaces! (You could even stack magnets and more paper sheets on my original set up of the magnets as I originally described.)My method is to use two magnets to attach that same sheet of paper to a nonmagnetic wall (See attached image). I discovered by trial and error, that if my sheet of notepad paper had been pre-punched with four small holes in a four-leaf clover pattern (see attached image), with an area smaller than the radius of the magnet, I could firmly stick it to my wall if I sandwiched that hole between two of the magnets. Of course, it does matter how the magnets are oriented; They should both be facing the same way, so that the back of the top magnet is touching the front of the other magnet. This assures opposite poles of these magnets are in contact. Since opposites attract, the mutual attraction of the two magnets entrap the sheet of paper, preventing the paper from slipping out.I guess many of the readers looking at this review will say my method is not acceptable, because it requires putting holes in the paper to be posted, and because it requires using two magnets per point of attachment. Well, punching a few neat holes does not bother me, because I would be completely covering those holes with the magnets. Regarding the additional magnet per point is no problem, because most users use multiple magnets per attached items anyway.Note: It is not just the adhesive that's holding the top-most magnet to the other magnet on the other side of the paper. I tested it, and the attraction is mostly from the magnetic attraction, which is at least as strong, and probably more lasting, that's the adhesive.

shockingly easy and effective
These were as easy to apply as stickers and really effective. In fact they were slightly easier than stickers because they are thick enough that you can pull them off of the adhesive backing without any trouble. they stick immediately and stay stuck to the surface you put them on. I put them on wooden squares.

Worthless magnets
Let me start by saying that I am not a complainer - I have never left a bad review on Amazon. But I feel compelled to do so because these magnets were a total waste. First of all, they’re extremely weak. I made 10 small fridge magnets using these and they were barely strong enough to hold a piece of paper on the fridge without sliding down. Secondly, the adhesive didn’t last. Within a week, 8 of the 10 magnets had come undone and were lying on the floor. I will definitely NOT be buying these again.

Suitable for my project
I wanted to make some magnetic bookmarks. These were adequate for the task, but I can't imagine they would be useful for much else. The strength is not great. But it was strong enough for my project. I can't imagine it would hold a piece of paper to the refrigerator. They were thin-- perfect for bookmarks-- and easy to use. Because I am only using them to stick to a piece of paper and to each other, I can't speak to how well the sticky part holds up.
