I took a leap and purchased this pillow with zero reviews, because I've been desperate to relieve shoulder pain from side sleeping. Unfortunately it was an immediate no for me, and I'm not sure who this could work for.It's enormous, very firm, and the fabric is not soft. Pay close attention to the measurements, including the height (11 inches!) if you order. The foam is extra firm with very little give. I'm not super sensitive to fabric textures but I found this pillow to be quite scratchy on my face and neck in addition to the other issues. There's no pillowcase large enough go over it, even if you were willing to customize one to work with the arm openings. There are also zippers around the whole pillow and attaching each of the legs, and I think they would wind up bothering me if I were to keep it.I think it would only work for a few very specific sleeping positions, as the "legs" holding the pillow up are large. You can stick your arm straight through to the top or side opening, but only if you sleep exactly on top of your arm and don't want to bend your elbow. I hold my arms in front of me, bent (essentially in the fetal position), and the only way to do that with this pillow is to forget about the openings and just use it as a standard pillow. The "legs" were in the way of my arms even when I tried it at various awkward angles to my body. I briefly considered modifying the legs to create more space for my arms, but the scratchy fabric and unforgiving foam made me dismiss that idea.I'm a small person, so the height might be more acceptable to someone with broader shoulders, but I've been sleeping on a tall cube-type pillow and thought this would just be a bit taller. This pillow is actually twice the height of the tall cube, which would probably be ok if it was a lot softer, but it's so firm that my head does not sink in whatsoever, putting my neck at a crazy angle to my body.Lastly, it was a bear to unwrap, being TIGHTLY bound with at least 4 layers of plastic and tape. I needed sharp scissors and had to be careful not to cut the pillow in the process. It did puff up to its full, massive size in a few hours. It did not come with washing instructions, but the case seems to unzip from the main body and each of the leg pieces.I really wanted this pillow to solve my problems, especially at this price point, but it's not for me. I hope this review helps others in the endless search for the perfect pillow.
