This is a great, quiet low profile window fan. I've been using this as a way to vent out steam from my bathroom because it doesn't have a vent. So far, it does a great job as long as I leave the door, a crack open.It has three different speed settings although I find myself mostly using the max speed setting It's also important to know that this fan doesn't do both exhaust and intake at the same time, but it does let you choose between the two options. I've been using it for a week or so now and I have had no problems, even though there has been rain.It does come with some foam to help pad the sides to fit better into the window. I found that I had to cut them even though they came in different widths for my needs. The cord is also really long, which was helpful.

I love the look of it. It’s sleek and doesn’t let to much light in. It’s a lot quieter than the other one I had. I can have it on full blast and it moves a lot of air. I like that I can swap between pulling air in or out. The foam it comes with to help fit are great and sturdy. The only two down sides are I had to remove my window mesh to install and it doesn’t have a remote. All in all a good buy so far.

The fan doesn't blow very hard. It is not as strong as a typical table fan. Maybe that is all they could engineer in such a low profile shape. It is very quiet. The screen has to be removed to mount this fan in my aluminum single-hung windows. Some Vornado products are domestically manufactured. This fan is Made in China.

I always wait to write a review until i have tested product. i have had unit for 8 months and had performed flawless. Brings cooler air in good but doesn't take out air as strong is it bring in. Still in whatever mode you have it in works good. Im buying another one for living room. Buy with confidence.

The good:The fan itself, consider the smaller size, provides decent airflow. Not great, not good, but OK airflow - for the slim size.The neutral:It fits OK into a newer window with no trim or sill (like your average cheap vinyl replacement window). The fan is reversible.The bad:Where to start? This product is such a disappointment - a collection of good ideas ruined by Vornado cheaping out resulting in poor execution, poor fit, and a worse seal than your average $30 (junky) window fan. The biggest issue is the fit of the unit itself - it requires a newer window with tight clearances for a secure fit. It does not fit securely into older windows, any sash windows I tried, or into any of the windows having interior sills/trim that fit against a closed sash (common on older windows, wooden sash windows, etc). Any degree of height or padding adjustment under the unit could have resolved this issue - it is simply cheap/poor design on Vornados part, especially considering the higher price-point. The foam blocks included do little to seal the window and can easily be shifted or pushed out. Bugs and mosquitoes can freely come and go around these blocks and through the unit itself as it has no grill or mesh on the exterior to prevent this.Window fans are rarely the best option, but this Vornado fits so poorly that I can honestly recommend just opening your window or propping a cheap box fan on the sill instead… it will move more air and you’ll deal with same number of bugs and poor seal as you would with this unit. The seal and fit of this unit is unacceptably bad for this price point - try a cheaper fan instead.

This is a very good product: the fan works well, and is inconspicuous (which is a plus for me). However I have one complaint, which can stand as a caveat to certain potential buyers: I had problems with the installation process. That shouldn't be: installing a window fan ought to be a snap. However, I live in an old house (1870s) with non-standard windows, and there is no combination of the side panels that come with the fan would fit properly. Furthermore, for reasons I'm still unsure of, it was impossible for me to get the window to come down and fit properly on top of the fan. I suspect our old window frame is a bit too wide to behave as the manufacturer expected.I finally got the fan installed and reasonably well sealed by using a combination of the side panels and foam rubber. But it was more difficult than I was entirely happy about.In conclusion: if you have a house that is newer than ours and has modern windows, you will likely not have any trouble at all installing the unit. If not...well, your mileage may vary.

I have smaller windows in my bedrooms and couldn't find a decent window fan that could fit them. These fans fit PERFECTLY. They do the normal fan functions, like pulling in air from outside, our exhausting air from inside to out. 3 speeds for both. Sounds is good, not too loud (I have one right next to my bed and it isn't a distraction).The are easy to install, just put them in and go. Come with a few differentsoze window spacers if needed. Built well solid value. I wish they came with a remote of some kind, but not a deal breaker. .

Works great. Much better than the old dual blade window fan. Much quieter as well. Definitely more pleasing to the eye. Forward and reverse at the touch of the button, no need to start and stop. A bit pricey but I’ll be buying another soon
