Using on my bestway pool. Does the job

I purchased this to keep a better ey on our hot tub, followed the instructions to the letter and set the chlorine level to belowe that advised for hot tubs, I just felt it was telling me to put far to much chemical in.Users then reported the a stronger smell than normal and some some skin irritation, ordering in some stick testers it was found to be well over the recomended does, even though it ws still saying I should add more.I have sent it back, the calabrated from factory is obviously not the case.

The pH levels reported are incorrect. We also use our old paper tests and the results are very different. We tried following the advice for this equipment, but now have a bright green pool. The other levels work OK, but pH is arguably the most important of these.

The FAC reading was way off. It was reading 2.6 but the dip strips from 2 companies were showing 10+. pH readings look accurate and salt and total solids were about where I expected them to be. Nice instrument, easy to use if there was a way to calibrate the FAC I'm sure it would be a top drawer piece of kit.

Sadly I had to return this item as when checking the temperature the result was incorrect. i did check this with another digital thermometer which read the same as my hot tub display. on this basis I decided that I probably shouldn't trust the ph and chlorine level readings as I had no other way of checking if these were accurate.
