If you know what you are doing, this is great, I'm buying more

Overall I'm glad I chose this. Goes on discount to about 135. Setup had minor hiccups, but just had to try the step again to get it to connect right. I saw a review about it's impossible to setup because you can't plug it into ac and router at the same time. Do not listen to them as they are completely and utterly wrong. They over complicate the entire process when all you have to do is listen to the instructions and do what it says. Plug into dc, then router and follow steps. You do not need ac power until the very end when you install into fixture or wall.Setup was fine and the app is pretty nice. The user interface needs a little work, but it has good functionality. Some complained about false positives and too many notifications. They have options in the settings to adjust the sensitivity and delay of notifications, among many other settings. You can turn it up or down. It's not a big issue for me.I am very satisfied with this cameras performance and clarity. The floodlight can be turned up very bright, the speaker can be clearly heard and the view angle is amazing. I can see the whole neighborhood with one camera as long as no huge vehicles are in the way. It screws into the junction box where the porch light is very easily. It comes with wire nuts, but do yourself a favor and buy some wago connectors to make your life easier.Notification speed is great and opening the app to view the camera is much faster than say the nest app or google home app I use for my other cameras. This was exactly the product I was looking for and it's recommended over motion tracking cameras as well. There into much to complain about that's worth mentioning other than minor hiccups in the setup phase. Just try it again and it will worm, listen to the instructions clearly, step by step one at a time slowly.I'm planning on buying two or three more of these to surround the house for full coverage. Professional reviews rate this camera system highly and so do I. Make sure your router has a strong signal, isn't congested and operating smoothly.Highly recommended camera as long as you can figure out what you are doing. Look at the directions slowly, check out all the options in the app and do your due diligence. This is not a set it and forget it camera, you will need to do some management and adjust as needed, but then after that you are going to be set and done. You're not going to get much better unless you enjoy paying multiple times more and even over 1000.

I Wish I Could Give 0 Stars – Unreliable Camera & Terrible Support

I wish there was an option to give 0 stars. I bought the Reolink Duo Floodlight Camera expecting quality and reliability, but it has been nothing but a headache. The camera constantly disconnects from both WiFi and the NVR, and there are frequent periods—sometimes hours—where it doesn’t record at all. Accessing the live stream is painfully slow, defeating the purpose of having a security camera. To make things worse, Reolink’s warranty support is disappointing. I reached out for a replacement, and they asked me to pay $50 plus return shipping—even though I offered to downgrade to the Duo 3, a newer model that costs less than the floodlight version I originally purchased. At the time of writing, Duo 3 is priced at $151.99 while the Floodlight Duo is $169.99. Yet, I’m being charged more for a downgrade. Absolutely unacceptable. It’s no surprise this product has a “frequently returned” label. The connectivity issues alone make it a poor investment, and the lack of reasonable customer support just seals the deal. I do not recommend this product to anyone.

Easy Install

the other reolink lights I bought didnt have the camera, so I bought this and the door bell, got a relink camera network, front/back, I use mine wired because my router signal dosnt seem reliable enough, but was easy to setup, software is really easy, feels good to outside eyes, Great Product!

A way to install without plugging into power outlet

There is a way to hard-wire this camera without plugging into an outlet in a completely self-contained manner. One can get a small power converter typically used for powering LED lights that converts 110 V AC to 12 V DC. Make sure the power converter can support at least about 20 W close to the rating of the Reolink supplied power adapter, and is compact enough to fit inside the base cavity of the camera. (Lustaled 24W LED 12 V Power Supply on Amazon is the one I bought) Connect the input side of this converter to the wires coming out of the wall for the original light fixture with say wire nuts or Wago connectors. On the output side of the converter, connect an electrical barrel plug as shown (size #5, 5.5 mm OD, 2.1 mm ID) and then plug it into the DC port of the camera. The base cavity of the camera is quite large with a lot of empty space, a compact power converter and barrel plug will fit inside with no problem. Have been using this setup for half a year now, so far so good.Another challenge is the mounting bracket doesn't work with standard junction box, so had to get a vinyl siding mounting block first and mount the camera onto the block. The final setup looks pretty neat with no visible wires.Hopefully, Reolink will update this floodlight camera with hard-wire option and junction box mount in the future. The ultra-wide field of view and high resolution are great. It also supports 5 GHz wifi. However, there are a lot of false motion alarms. So, it is used as a floodlight and backyard viewing manually. This camera does not have motion sensors, it relies on image processing to identify motion. One little quirk is if the floodlight is turned on manually, the light won't stay on for long, it will go out after about 3 minutes, need to use the timer mode to bypass this problem.

Setup not good, but happy after that

Setup on DC only set up wifi - after that needed AC to stream, work floodlights, etc. Now that it's working though, I will give high marks to image quality and reolink support. ONVIF works and I've connected to my synology surveillance station.Features I wish it had (disclaimer, I'm just starting out with this and haven't learned all its capabilities:Programmable delay to lights off, dim mode. None of these are deal breakers.
