Great boxes not for everyday use
Brilliant boxes! Could be a little sturdier - recommended for storage rather than using for every day access as they will wear out quick. But for what they are, boxes for my paperwork - bloody brilliant. Feel so much tidier now I’ve tidied up my papers!

Cardboard Filebox
This is a good product for storing files that you need only occasionally. They are reasonably sturdy. I wouldnt use them for files that you use all the time as the box file will wear down easily especially the opening/closing.The first file takes more time to erect but once you have the hang of it it becomes easier. Lots of space to write what is in the boxfile.

Not the best
I did read reviews and still bought them. They’re so flimsy and not fit for purpose really. I got to store paperwork for home and business, not needing to open them often. Assembly was ok but opening and closing was problematic. Wouldn’t buy again.

Cardboard Archival Boxes - Not Box Files!
Was looking for cardboard archival boxes and came across these. No instructions to assemble however, noted the 1,2,3 system and worked out the method of folding the ends with 1, with 2 going over 1, and finally finishing with 3 to go right into the file to lock together. Once I had done a couple, it was very straightforward. The boxes aren't for repeated opening (hence for storing things you don't need to access regularly), as the cardboard opening flap will squish/wear after a while. There is space on the spine to write details on. They are bigger than A4 in length/width and easily take A4 envelopes/things that are slightly longer/wider than A4 (A3 is too big though). For what I needed (storage) they are ideal. If not your cup of tea (or defective), then send them back to amazon and let those of us who think they are great rehome them for you on warehouse rather than binning them :-)

Poor quality
I wouldn't buy these again. So flimsy to put together opened one up and it was torn inside. Very poor quality.

Utilitarian but what do you expect for the money?
I needed some storage for a chronic paperwork hoarder, I mean we are talking things going back to the last millenium and I do not have time, inclination, love or charity to do this for him. The file boxes he had were sealed and repaired with packing tape, things were escaping over the shelves and I needed some space.Bought the 25 pack thinking, more than enough - was I wrong! I am down to three left and I don't know whether to invest in another 25 or 10.No they aren't beautiful, but they uniform and utilitarian - if you follow the 1,2,3 instructions printed on the boxes I really don't hold truc on how you can't put the things together properly. They are solid, and fulfill their purpose. I certainly have no complaints.

Very good storage units
These work well. I have used them for years for archiving. THe cardboard is thick and good quality but not the greatest, hence the 4 stars. Having said that... what more does a person want out of a product like this. THey are sturdy and do the job well and the colour coding of the boxes actually helps you when you can mentally map what each colour would represent in terms of filing as a very quick reference guide. Putting it together takes a few minutes, but once you figure out the directional flow of bending to create the shape required, its easy.
