Would have been better to have a manual shipped along
It definitely worked for me. Could speed up and down a universal motor removed from mixer grinder.Would have been better if the product came with a manual, tho. There is a potentiometer on the PCB, which is crucial to control speed. It would have been helpful if there was a manual that told about the min max settings of that potentiometer.Overall, it worked for me.

Not for Induction Motor
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased it for Lowering the speed of My induction Motor of 1HP. Fully Un-Successful . MOtor speed has no effect . Better to use it for simple fans and light dimmers.

Not suitable at all for ceiling fans
Not suitable at all for ceiling fans. When speed is lowered a loud humming sound comes from fan as well as this device.

Excellent product
It has been working without any problems for four months. I am using it to adjust the speed of a heavy duty fan. I bought and fitted this when the fan's in-built regulator was not giving a low enough speed. The speed can be increased and decreased gradually. This is a good product.

Received item is quite different than shown in thepic
Technically working now, but-Poover soldering, I had to resold point. Circuit also detached from the sheet.No screw support for potentiometer shield and heatsink, so device strength is weak.Voltage range is 100-230v, not as said 50-220v. Tried to adjust the voltage range by turning the screw but no result.
